BIFM
MOL is a recognised British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) centre. BIFM is the professional body for UK facilities management.
APIP
APIP (Association of Professional Industry Providers) supports in-house and independent inventory providers. They offer advice, opportunities for professional development and a recognised standard of inventory provision.
University of Salford
The University of Salford is MOL’s awarding body partner. We work with the university to deliver our MA course.
NAEA
NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) works under the NFOPP umbrella. Its members work in the industry in the UK and internationally. MOL is the preferred supplier of workbook programmes to NFOPP.

MOL is a recognised NCFE centre. NCFE is a national awarding organisation.
City & Guilds
MOL’s Specialist Product Knowledge programme is accredited by City and Guilds. We won a National Training Award for the programme in 1994.

MOL is a recognised Edexcel centre. Edexcel is the UK’s largest awarding body and offers qualifications and testing in the UK and internationally.
CIPD
The CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) is the world’s largest chartered professional body for human resources. The body is internationally respected and has more than 135,000 members. MOL is one of the CIPD's largest and leading approved centres and is the UK's longest established provider of flexible learning CIPD programmes. Since CIPD developed its flexible learning programmes in 1991, MOL has worked closely with them to produce flexible learning materials and is the exclusive provider of CIPD Flexible Learning+. For many years, MOL learners have consistently exceeded the CIPD's average pass mark in the national exams (Advanced programmes at level 7) and have won numerous prizes for their excellent performance. MOL also boasts a 100% success rate in those students completing their CIPD Foundation qualifications (level 3).
ICBA
ICBA (Institution of Commercial and Business Agents) works under the NFOPP umbrella. It’s the professional body for commercial and business transfer agents in the UK. MOL is the preferred supplier of workbook programmes to NFOPP.
NAVA
NAVA (National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers) works under the NFOPP umbrella. It’s a self-regulating professional body, representing over 280 valuers and auctioneers. MOL is the preferred supplier of workbook programmes to NFOPP.
CIPR
CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) is the professional body for public relations (PR) in the UK. MOL offers a level 3 CIPR accredited qualification.
Electrical Distributors Association
The Electrical Distributors Association is the trade association for the UK electrical wholesale distribution industry.
CMI
We are a registered centre of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). CMI is the chartered professional body for leadership and management in the UK. It has over 90,000 members.
As part of their long-term business plan, Asda committed to qualify 1000 store managers to a level 5 professional diploma. MOL delivered the professional diploma in management, accredited by BTEC and Edexcel. The one-year programme was known as ‘The Asda Diploma in Management’. We created bespoke self-study materials with Asda branding, written to reflect the way Asda work. MOL practitioner tutors delivered 10 skills workshops, experiential residential learning and face to face support. We delivered workshops on the same day in each of the company’s 14 regions. This allowed Asda staff to progress in parallel.
In a separate initiative, we provided a training practice qualification for field trainers.
MOL worked with British Airways for seven years to create learning and development programmes. The nature of airline work meant we had to come up with some creative solutions. We developed two unique programmes; Fundamentals of Supervision for ground-based supervisors, and Fundamentals of Customer Service for cabin crew. Both courses had an element of self-study, supported by 10 skills workshops, experiential learning and face to face support. We offered telephone tutorials at unsociable hours for cabin crew studying during stopovers.
Builders Merchants Federation is an industry body that represents 250 builders’ merchants across the UK. Qualifications for staff in builders’ merchants’ branches were previously only available by part time attendance at a college. The Federation were anxious to find a more flexible approach to training busy staff. MOL developed a series of modules that learners can study in their own time. Learners can study a single module or a group of modules making up a City and Guilds qualification.
B&Q have enrolled a large number of their staff on our specialist product knowledge programme. The programme is a series of modules which allow busy store staff to gain expert knowledge of construction materials.
Electrical Distributors’ Association (EDA) is an industry body that represents 150 major suppliers. The EDA board approached MOL to create a development programme for busy outlet staff. EDA asked us to create a series of electrics and luminaires modules similar to our construction materials series. MOL practitioner tutors assessed the flexible study programme, which could lead to City and Guilds qualifications.
Ford commissioned MOL to create a module to inform their staff about company policy and commitment to equal opportunities. The programme material was issued to the entire workforce at Ford’s Halewood and Dagenham sites. This was the first time our materials were issued as a discrete product

MOL worked with Lever Brothers to create a customised professional development certificate in management. We delivered 10 skills workshops at Lever Brothers’ centre of operations in Port Sunlight. MOL tutors gave learners face to face support throughout the one-year programme. We also created self-study materials with Lever Brothers branding. The success of this programme led to us creating and delivering a personnel management programme at the Kingston-upon-Thames branch.
MOL worked with Royal Mail to create a unique one-year training programme. The programme was designed to reflect the way Royal Mail works. 5000 Royal Mail Youth Cadets, from all major UK mail centres, took the flexible studies programme. We delivered the training on Royal Mail premises and created bespoke self-study materials with Royal Mail branding. MOL practitioner tutors assessed and supported the students, through face to face tutorials and experiential residential activity. MOL and Royal Mail received a joint National Training Award for the programme.
Travis Perkins have enrolled a large number of their staff on our specialist product knowledge programme. The programme is a series of modules which allow busy store staff to gain expert knowledge of construction materials.
MOL worked with Wolseley, an American company with a strong UK presence, to create a customised construction materials programme. 2500 learners enrolled on the self-study programme, supported by MOL tutors. MOL and Wolseley won a joint National Training Award for the programme. We also worked with Wolseley to create a customised level 5 professional diploma in management, accredited by BTEC and Edexcel.
As DHL expanded, they sought personal development for depot managers in the UK and mainland Europe. MOL made a series of visits to selected depots and developed a one-year programme of DHL-branded self-study materials. These were supported by 10 skills workshops, experiential learning and face to face support from our tutors. The programme ran for six years. During this time, we delivered a two-day masterclass to depot managers in Eastern Europe. We also created a ‘Who Cares Wins’ customer care programme and an operations manual for worldwide use.
MOL created a ‘Financial Information for Managers’ manual for Manchester City Council. The manual was used to deliver and support a programme of study to approximately 1000 employees in finance departments.
MOL provided management and human resources training to The Employment Service (now Job Centre Plus) throughout the north. MOL tutors delivered workshops to support a series of self-study materials.
RISEBA needed a level 3 supervisory management qualification for Latvian- or Russian-speaking students with English as an additional language. MOL responded to the challenge. We translated English versions of MOL study modules for the students in Riga, making adjustments where necessary for cultural differences. We appointed a permanent MOL tutor who was fluent in Russian to a base in Latvia to provide local support. Additional tutors travelled to Latvia to hold workshops. A major Russian company then contracted us to deliver the same programme to their apprentice workforce.
Alexander Mann is one of Europe’s largest independent providers of recruitment support. MOL customised one of our existing human resources qualifications to the company’s required dates and timescales.
MOL created a programme of workshop blocks to deliver human resource qualifications to trainers in the UK and overseas. We integrated specific company initiatives into the learning materials.
MOL helped accredit several groups of Glasgow City Council staff to a CIPD human resources certificate level. The initiative was adopted by other councils in the Strathclyde region and major service sectors, such as fire and rescue.
MOL delivered level 3 and 7 human resource management qualifications to the South Yorkshire Police. We designed a flexible programme to fit around operations at headquarters, and supported learners around their shift patterns. The two-year programme consisted of study materials, monthly workshops and personal support from MOL tutors.
